The Wassara system is a water-powered DTH drilling system in which high-pressure water drives the down-the-hole hammer while simultaneously flushing the drill cuttings out of the borehole. Unlike compressed-air DTH systems, no compressed air is introduced into the formation.

The system is used, among other applications, for drilling where low borehole deviation, dust-free operation and minimal pressurization of the surrounding formation are important.

The Wassara system offers:

-   DTH hammer powered by high-pressure water
-   Water used as both the power and flushing medium
-   Dust-free drilling
-   Suitable for sensitive and water-bearing formations
-   Various sizes from 2" to 12"
