Displacement drilling with a single casing string and hydraulic drifter. At final depth, the sacrificial tip is released, leaving the casing bore clear for anchors, grouting or threaded-bar piles. Rock inclusions call for a sacrificial percussion bit. Flushing is suitable only where void formation and undermining are excluded.
